Our Story
Forty Years of Bread
Bình Minh Sandwiches is a family-run, mom-and-pop bakery that has been baking bread in Portland for over 40 years. What started as a small Vietnamese bakery has become one of the city's most beloved banh mi destinations — the kind of place Eater Portland names among the 38 Best Restaurants and Food Carts in Portland.
The secret is the bread: baked fresh in-house every morning, it combines the soft, pillowy fluff of white bread with the crisp, lightly flaky shatter of a French baguette. It's the foundation everything else is built on — and the reason people drive across town.
This is a no-frills counter. Walk in, order at the counter, grab a banh mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee. No reservations, no pretension — just 40 years of craft between two halves of a perfect baguette.
